Conquered the town of Ibrat on the Tigris, which was possibly under control of Susa at the time, and may have led to the formation of the anti-Larsa coalition between Elam, Isin, Uruk, and Kazallu (Potts 99, pg. 166). King of Larsa, son and successor of Nur-Adad. According to his inscriptions he carried out restoration and irrigation works and asserted Larsa's control over Nippur, Ur and Lagash. According to a later omen the king was killed by a piece of masonry which fell from the roof of the Šamaš temple (Leick, Who's Who in the Ancient Near East, p. 156).
