Well-known for his building activities at the Ebabbar of Larsa. Conquered the town of Ibrat on the Tigris, which was possibly under control of Susa at the time, and may have led to the formation of the anti-Larsa coalition between Elam, Isin, Uruk, and Kazallu (Potts 99, pg. 166).

King of Larsa, son and successor of Nur-Adad. According to his inscriptions he carried out restoration and irrigation works and asserted Larsa's control over Nippur, Ur and Lagash. According to a later omen the king was killed by a piece of masonry which fell from the roof of the Šamaš temple (Leick, Who's Who in the Ancient Near East, p. 156).
