Hallushu

This king has traditionally been identified with the Hallushu-Inshushinak (considered identical to Hallutash-Inshushinak and Hallutush-Inshushinak) attested from sources outside the Babylonian Chronicle (Potts pg. 269), although agreement is not universal (Vallat 1995).

According to the Chronicle (ii 32-34) Hallushu deposed his brother Shutruk-Inshushinak II, possibly because of the costly assistance the former provided to the Babylonians' war for independence (Potts pg. 268).
