Hymns and cult songs
The objective here is to provide links to the CDLI catalogue sources for the literary works given by ETCSL. The notes also tie the etcsl catalogue numbers to the corresponding Q-catalogue numbers (used in CDLI as composite id's). In principle, the etcsl web-pages list the cuneiform sources for each of the literary works considered. However, in practice, there are sometimes difficulties in relating the sources listed by etcsl to those in the CDLI catalogue and so notes are included considering some of these difficulties. Peterson's study of sumerian literary fragments (BPOA 9) post-dates ETCSL and adds a lot of new information.

etcsl 4.01.1 = Q000615: A hymn to Asarluḫi (Asarluḫi A)
etcsl 4.02.1 = Q000616: A hymn to Bau's beneficent protective goddess (Bau A)
etcsl 4.03.1 = Q000618: A šir-šag-ḫula to Damgalnuna (Damgalnuna A)

In CDLI, CBS 14218 + N 3453. IB 923 = IM 79937. The Copenhagen tablet, given as KNMA 10047 in etcsl, is CNMA 10047 in CDLI. In CDLI: N 1405 + N 1400; N 1780 + N 1782 + N 6694 + N 7312 (+) N 3598; UET 6/1, 65 + UET 6/3, 565. According to CDLI, UET 6/2, 371 is a mathematical tablet plus a proverb. According to Shaffer, UET 6/3, 491(=UET 6 *14 + *63) is part of Gilgamesh and Huwawa (etcsl 1.8.15). OECT 11, 31 = Ashm 1924-2405. In CDLI, 3N-T917,390 is joined to 3N-T547 (UM 55-21-344). Under this heading, CDLI also includes UET 6/3, 566 (possibly part of UET 6/1, 65+), UET 6/3, 567 (rev.), UM 29-15-001, VAT 17648. Peterson (UF 42, 573f.) gives numerous additional examples.

Shaffer lists UET 6/3 *29 (i.e. part of UET 6/3, 437) as etcsl 1.4.1, also listed by etcsl as 1.4.1.1. In CDLI UCLM 9-1808 is written as HMA 9-01808. CDLI also includes CBS 10411+, Ist Ni 04202, N 903, UET 6/3, 568 & 569. There is some confusion with the numbering of the Penn. N 1210-27 fragments; Gerardi OPBF 8, 238, draws a distinction between N 1210-27 Inanna B and N 1212a + N 1218a which is correspondence; accepting this, the Inanna tablet should include N 1207 + N 1210-27 + N 3186; the etcsl listing includes also N 6821 & N 6881 but these numbers are not visible in the CDLI photo. Peterson (UF 42, 573f.) adds a number of fragments to the list.

etcsl 4.27.a = Q000732: A hymn to Ninurta
etcsl 4.28.1 = Q000736: A hymn to Nungal (Nungal A)
The etcsl listing should state 3N-T751 = UM 55-21-376 (i.e. these are not joined) and, similarly, 3N-T463 = UM 55-21-331. The tablet listed as Ni 9987 in etcsl is given as Ni 9887 in CDLI. In etcsl N 63112 is clearly an error; it might possibly be N 6312, which is already included. In etcsl, 3N-T916,408 should be 3N-T918,408. In the etcsl list, A 30216 is stated to be equal to 3N-T520, but in CDLI it is equal to 3N-T333. UET 6/3, *435 = UET 6/3, 594 and UET 6/3, *172 should be UET 6/3, 593. CDLI also lists N 2966, UET 1, 75, UM 29-15-979, N 3352 + N 3362. Peterson (UF 42, 573f.) adds a number of fragments and joins.

etcsl 4.80.1 = Q000750: The temple hymns
CBS 9686, listed by etcsl, should be CBS 6986; in CDLI, CBS 6968+ is joined to CBS 4566. In CDLI: CBS 13900 + CBS 15075; CBS 14231 + UM 29-16-423 (+) UM 29-16-438; N 3134 + N 3142. The tablet listed as N 1430+ by etcsl includes many more fragments in CDLI. Etcsl lists N 1944, but in CDLI this is given as an OB ledger for cereals. Etcsl lists N 7083, but in CDLI this is part of a larger tablet including lexical lists. In CDLI CBS 7073 now has additional fragments N 7018 + N 7028. U 7782, listed by etcsl, is UET 6/3, 599. UET 6 *91 = UET 6/3, 598. UET 6 *231 = UET 6/3, 597. Etcsl lists UET 6 *47 + *82, but Shaffer gives *47 as part of UET 6/3, 548, a royal inscription and *82 as part of UET 6/3, 626, contest between Hoe and Plough. CDLI also includes Ni 9566. Peterson adds a number of fragments.
etcsl 4.80.2 = Q000751: The Keš temple hymn
CDLI lists CBS 1756 as an administrative accounts tablet (in etcsl, CBS 1756 is probably a mistake for N 1756). CDLI does not have a CBS 15149B; CBS 15149 is part of CBS 13958+ Shulgi A. In CDLI, N 1751 + N 4523 is listed as a Middle Babylonian ledger. In CDLI, N 2721 is listed as a legal contract in Akkadian. In CDLI, N 3727 is listed as an unidentified proverb collection. The UET 6 * tablets were published by Shaffer as UET 6/3, 602-605. In addition, CDLI includes CBS 15144, N 1756, N 3098, Ni 4577, Sc 1, 40 (from the Cotsen collection) and a series of tablets from Abu Salabikh. Peterson adds a number of fragments.
