Ana-tašmētum-taklāk was probably the second wife of Esarhaddon (after the death of Ešarra-hammat). This is however far from certain and she might also have been the wife/ widow of Sargon II, the second wife of Ashurbanipal or the wife of one of Ashurbanipal’s sons (Teppo 2005: 39).
