Ana-tašmētum-taklāk was probably the second wife of Esarhaddon (after the death of Ešarra-hammat). This is however far from certain and she might also have been the wife or widow of Sargon II, the second wife of Ashurbanipal or the wife of one of Ashurbanipal’s sons (Teppo 2005: 39).
