Description: The Assur-version of the so-called "Astrolabe B" dating to the end of the 2nd millennium is our best-preserved source for this kind of composition. Besides an earlier Middle Babylonian partial copy (VS 24, 120) we have considerably later manuscripts from Assyria, which are, in part, just poorly preserved. The tablet is divided into four sections, among which the first section with a month-by-month menology is the most interesting. (Klaus Wagensonner, University of Oxford)
